Finding Tuesday

Figuring Life Out After 50
For years, I knew exactly who I was. I was a wife, a mother, a daughter, a business owner. I had responsibilities, deadlines, people counting on me, and a calendar that always seemed to be full.
But one day, a thought hit me.
What if I woke up on a random Tuesday with absolutely nothing I had to do?
No work. No appointments. No one needing anything from me.
What would I do with that day?
And the uncomfortable truth was... I had no idea.
Somewhere between building a business, raising a family, and taking care of everyone and everything, I'd lost touch with the things that made me happy.
What were my hobbies? What did I enjoy doing just because I wanted to? What actually lit me up anymore?
I couldn't answer those questions.
And that scared me.
Not because I was afraid of getting older, but because I'd spent so much of my life knowing what I needed to do that I'd forgotten how to figure out what I wanted to do.
My dad used to joke that he'd "failed retirement." He'd retired, gone back to work, and continued working almost until the end of his life. He wore that "failed retirement" like a badge of honor.
And I've thought about that a lot.
There's nothing wrong with loving your work. I love mine, too. But I started wondering whether I'd know who I was without it. Whether I could enjoy a day that wasn't measured by how much I accomplished.
That's when I realized something.
I don't want to fill my Tuesdays. I want to find them.
And that's how Finding Tuesday was born.
I figured I couldn't possibly be the only person feeling this way.
Finding Tuesday is about rediscovering our interests, trying things we've always been curious about, creating a life that excites us, and figuring out who we are beyond the roles we've spent decades filling.
It's not about retirement. It's not about starting over. And it's definitely not about having all the answers.
It's about building a community of people who want to wake up on a random Tuesday and know exactly how they'd love to spend it.
I'm still finding my Tuesday. Maybe you are, too.
Let's figure it out together.
